Teaching Female Dominance: What I Learned From Mentoring a Couple
Recently, I received a request from a woman who wanted to have a couples session with her husband. She wanted to become more confident in her dominance and learn how to create more intense experiences for both of them.
They were already longtime kink practitioners, and she regularly dominated him when they played together. Before meeting them in person, I had an online consultation with her to discuss their dynamic, interests, and what she hoped to get from the experience.
I was very excited about the opportunity to play with an experienced couple. But after our session, I realized that FemDom mentorship is not necessarily about teaching a woman how to dominate. It is often about helping her recognize, trust, and enjoy the dominance she already possesses.
I Wasn’t There to Replace Her Authority
If a woman approaches me for FemDom mentorship or a couples session and tells me that she already dominates her partner, I see her as a fellow Domme.
I don’t see her as a complete beginner or as someone who needs me to turn her into a dominant woman. If she has an established power dynamic with her partner, she is already a dominant. She is a queen, and she should be treated as such.
My role is not to prescribe the “correct” way for her to dominate or to make her copy my style. I can offer suggestions, demonstrate techniques, and help her understand how certain choices may intensify a scene. But she needs to discover what dominance feels like for her.
That is why I approached our session more like a double-Domme experience than a mentor-mentee-submissive arrangement. There were moments when I guided the scene or explained something, but I wanted us to interact as two dominant women sharing authority over one submissive.
Her Dominance Didn’t Need to Look Like Mine
Before the session, I learned about the couple’s interests and experience. What I didn’t yet know was the pace and level of intensity they naturally enjoyed together.
I personally like intense sessions with a relatively fast pace. But my style is not the only way to practice dominance, and it wasn’t my goal to impose my energy on their established dynamic.
As we began playing, I paid attention to how they responded to each other. I adjusted my own style to match her dominant energy and to complement the dynamic they had already created together.
This was important because another dominant woman’s presence can be powerful, and potentially overwhelming. I wanted to amplify her authority, not overshadow it. I didn’t want her to feel as though she had to compete with me, keep up with me, or perform dominance in a way that didn’t feel natural to her.
When they engaged in activities they already enjoyed together, I preferred to let her take the lead. This allowed their dynamic to develop naturally. I could then join them, add another layer of intensity, or suggest ways she might expand the experience.
A good FemDom mentorship session should not turn the woman into a copy of the professional Domme. It should give her more confidence in her own personality and style.
Two Dominant Voices Can Reinforce Each Other
One of my favorite parts of the session was verbally humiliating and punishing the submissive together with his Domme partner.
There was something especially powerful about the words coming from both of us. My voice reinforced hers, while hers carried a personal authority that I could never replace. She knows him and understands the meaning of their dynamic in a way an outside Domme can not.
Together, we made the experience feel more complete and persuasive. Instead of competing for control, our dominant energies supported one another. I allowed her to lead while I reinforced her choices. At other moments, I took the lead and gave her an opportunity to observe, join me, or build on what I was doing.
This created a natural movement between playing, demonstrating, and making suggestions. The educational component was present, but it did not constantly interrupt the scene or take us out of the dynamic we were creating.
Learning to Enjoy Being in Control
Sometimes women become so focused on whether they are doing everything correctly that they don’t fully allow themselves to enjoy their dominance. They wonder whether they look dominant enough. They worry that their dirty talk isn’t perfect. They continuously monitor whether their partner is enjoying himself. They may feel responsible for producing his ideal fantasy while forgetting to notice what the experience feels like for them.
The submissive’s consent and safety are always essential. But within those negotiated boundaries, his pleasure does not have to be the central purpose of every moment. The main goal of the session is for a dominant woman to enjoy herself in every moment of the session. At any moment she can stop, breathe, and appreciate the beauty of being the one who reigns. At this particular moment, she is the one in control, and that feeling can be deeply pleasurable.
She doesn’t have to become an arrogant, cruel witch who screams at her partner and kicks his balls. She can do those things if that is what she genuinely enjoys, but she doesn’t have to.
Feeling dominant is not the same as beating or humiliating someone. Dominance can be a feeling of power, control, confidence, and excellence. It can be quiet, or it can be loud. It can be playful, sensual, strict, sadistic, or calm. A woman does not have to be angry with her submissive to control him. She does not have to imitate someone else’s idea of what a Domme should look like.
She decides what her dominance will be.
This may be the most difficult part of FemDom mentorship to explain, because it is something a woman ultimately has to experience for herself. Confidence develops with practice, but it also develops when she stops observing herself from the outside and begins paying attention to her own feelings.
My goal is not simply to teach a woman how to dominate her partner better. It is to help her give herself permission to enjoy being dominant, and to recognize the authority that is already hers.
